We advocate much more demanding driver education as an alternative to dumb speed enforcement. We believe it would be far more effective.

I do not begrudge the railway industry
one penny of the billions currently being spent on safety improvements.
If we were to spend one tenth of that amount on safety measures such as
improved driver training for all, not only would we save many thousands
more lives than the rail improvements will save but it would be a big boost
to the economy. Additionally not so much time and money would be spent
from police and health service budgets clearing up when it has all gone
horribly wrong.
