If the cameras don't meet the KSI guidelines, which have a pretty low threshod, then how can safety be measurably improved?

I've complained to the ASA in the past over Scameraship adverts claiming that speed cameras save lives. They weren't interested in a discussion, and just towed the party line. They couldn't explain the difference between a paramedic saving lives and a camera being a static object, enabling a ticket ...

I know guys that have been busted for 36 in a 30 limit on a mobile camera. I would love to know who can tell that the car is speeding from any range.. :x 45 to 50 yes.......but 36, I think not. Presumably the operators are tested to see if they are able to make the judgement. Perhaps someone should...
