Going out p***sed is the worst thing anyone can do on the roads - people die because of drunks and more often than not, not the drunks themselves! If I'd been asked this ten or 15 years ago I'd have wholeheartedly agreed; namely with the reduction in the amount of blood alcohol one is allowed to hav...

The government are on the run with the cameras.

Anyone fancy organising a mass 20mph go slow protest on motorways and major trunk roads every Monday / 1st Monday in the month and cause economic chaos to speed the process up a little.

Well I’m sorry folks but we shouldn’t be looking for anything less than getting rid of speed cameras. What was wrong before we ever had them! The British public fall for it every time and now we are looking for compromises, which is what our masters rely on. (The Hegelian dialectic) That’s what the...

{snip} If a police officer were sent they would need an army of them. This would soon be downgraded to some sort of PSCO/ Parking Attendant grade. {snip} Which is why, if a fully paid up 'proper policeman' had to deliver a NIP in person the abuse we're all suffering would stop! Before speed cameras...

My initial thought is, that whilst showing the authorities the whole process is 'pointless', it is shy if the mark in stating, that their Policy is causing road deaths, and creating many dangerous road behaviours. The Police have been known in a number of cases, to hand deliver photographic evidenc...

Hello people, It's been a long time since I've posted on here so a warm hello to everybody. I have a suggestion which I would see as an interim compromise (I must state it would still be my view and ambition that speed cameras should be totally removed from our roads but perhaps my offering will dis...

I know it may well be off topic here BUT

Has the fellow who always quotes C O A S T actually thought to have written this down in a book of some description?

Might be a few quid in it

All of your comments are just lovely. I really appreciate them. At the moment I am staying with friends. I cannot possibly describe how utterly devastated I feel. I just cannot believe that he is not around. Looking a little to the future - is anyone going to be interested in holding a SafeSpeed Tr...

This is my first post on this forum for more than 2 years. Not because I "fell out" with Paul... But because he publicly asked me to can the incandescent anger within me and not speak my mind quite so bluntly about what is going on because my doing so, he feared, might damage the campaign....

Paul, As you wish; I will stop posting on your forum and now intend this to be my last post. Before I go I would like to say that I regret any embarrassment I may have caused you or the SafeSpeed campaign from voicing what are my own strong views on what I think is becoming a Police State run by con...

This is scary. Please could someone clarify, in Law, how "naughty" do you have to be before the Police can rob you of your vehicle? 1) Repeated drunk/dangerous driving while uninsured/untaxed/unMOTd? 2) Performing a single dangerous manouver in an otherwise legal vehicle? 3) 35 in a 30? Scarier sti...

In Gear, I hate to have to ask you this because you stike me as a reasonable copper. You mentioned " in the interests of the {Police} Force " What should be the bigger interest and have most protection? The Police Force or Justice itself? It goes without saying that a lot of dirty washing could come...

I think that they had better pull their fingers out and start explaining what went on sooner rather than later. A man is dead. Silence 'blood money' has been offered to the family then it's been denied it's been offered. The silence from New Scotland Yard is now starting to deafen me as well. We wan...

The more of this that leaks out the more and more I tend to view this as MURDER. Yes, they might be policemen, yes, they might have been on duty, yes, it might have been a terrible mistake..... Just think of the chain of events: A man leaves home to get on a train. He buys a ticket and rides the esc...

Couple of points my little brother always told me: DC is more dangerous than AC because DC will 'pull' you onto it and 'suck' you to stay there whereas AC will pull and push and pull and push meaning you have literally a half chance of pulling yourself off when it is pushing you away. Voltage and Am...

At the end of the day, there's no more "safety" to have come out of having these cameras around. No more crimes have been detected, no more accidents have happened (pro-rata along with the growth in traffic). The only reason for having these cameras is CA$H They don't want us to slow down really, th...

This change in the rules was driven by the Electrical Contractors Association who wanted to see their member's status as equivalent to CORGI gas fitters. Would you do a bit of DIY gas fitting in your house? I probably wouldn't. Same logic applies except that it is far less likely for electricity to...

Like I said at the top of the thread - on principle, I have NOT paid £200 to have a new patress installed by someone else when I could have done the job myself - I have NOT broken the law either, however. I have taken photographs and written a nice letter to my local MP hoghlighting just how much of...
