This kind of thing is now very common. Endless politicians drip on about high visibility etc... but they are generally liars. I can't suggest what to do apart from making sure you don't vote labour at next election, because it will only get worse.

David Begg, the governments 'independent??' transport policy advisor was on BBC radio Scotland today, on the lesley riddoch show at lunchtime. He was there to discuss his new aim to get 4x4's off the road -as they are 'too dangerous'. What he said on this was pretty much nonsense really. However, du...

Someone asked about airline seatbelts. True enough it seems odd, but the main reason they get you to keep them on whilst in the cruise is in case of turbulence. Some passengers were killed a few years ago due to a sudden turbulence occurrence in a large passenger jet. People were thrown around in th...

Well, that's it then. may as well close websites like this, as speed cameras really do save lives. Lets have one on every street since they are so good. Oh, hang on, the national trend in RTAs is going up. Could the result be due to improved road layouts, reduced traffic flows at camera sites, and r...

Having just spent a day driving around Blackpool, I can assure you that Lancashire Constabulary is NOT showing sense. I was last there about two years ago, and it was bad then. Now, the streets are crammed with Gatsos, every few hundred yards - and I'm not kidding. They cannot all be showing to have...

I VERY VERY much doubt the accuracy being claimed. Targetting a car one mile away, that may be possible, but the amount of laser beam scatter is bound to cause some problems, hitting different parts of one car, or even hitting adjacent cars. Contrary to the information above from tha scamera thugs, ...

I've looked at many websites in the UK about equipment used, but often they omit to mention that some forces still use mobile Gatso's and hand held radar guns. Fife police still use handheld radar (as well as scamera vans). Northumbria police (Newcastle upon Tyne) and Lothian and Borders police (Edi...

Don't know if Highway code has been changed, but originally Mini roundabouts were essentially just a way of setting priorities at a junction. i.e give way to the right. It was quite within the code to drive over the roundabout, provided you observed the relevant traffic priorities. Either the code h...
