Continuing with the premiership footballer example - would it be right that they are fined £100000 (say) if it was not them driving the car (they just happen to be the RK)? What happens to company/leased cars? What would happen if someone decided to make a pensioner/unemployed relative the RK (witho...

Ignoring the fact that PC Milton didn't actually have prior (or post) authorisation to do what he did, speeds in excess of 80mph in an urban 30 zone are taking the piss no matter how good a driver you are. IMO it depends on the 30 - as I posted here :- Or could also have been a 30 limit like this o...

The distraction caused by being lost completely swamps the miniscule distraction of sat nav. I drive a lot in unfamilier places and have used maps+signs as well as sat nav over the years. Maps are fine until a road you intended to use is closed or you miss a turning, then things get interesting in ...

The thing that puzzles me is why I get so upset when people fail to indicate or even indicate unnecessarily. Since I never accept the indication as proof of anything, why should it annoy me? Why get annoyed about anything? It doesn't help... I agree. I don't get annoyed in the sense that I'm baying...

I also don't see a problem in this - if most other people were caught doing 159mph I would expect it would also need to be proved that the driving was actually dangerous to be convicted of dangerous driving (which can result in up to 2 years imprisonment ) rather than an assumption that 159m...

Surely he did not have to 'claim' the above as his practice session was fully sanctioned and recorded by his superior officer and therefore in the line of duty - or was it? If not then he was breaking the law irrespective of his skills and the level of danger. The only other logical conclusion is t...

There's no date yet, but we have been promised 30 days' warning of the verdict. So the most we can say right now is 'more than 30 days' to go. Paul - is this still the case (i.e. you've heard nothing and therefore is still 'more than 30 days' to go)? Is it normal for a verdict to take this long (it...
