Tone you did everything right, there is nothing wrong or stupid about dropping a wallet and then somebody else defrauding you, it's those t**ts entirely at fault, the decent person would either take it to the shop, the police station, your bank or any number of things. As you say, Verified by Visa a...

I see Steve's name is no longer on the contact page of the CSCP site, and a little bird tells me he has left for new pastures. He always said he didn't need the money! 8-) See this for details of his new pastures  http://www.pepipoo.com/Case_file_20.htm http://pepipoo.com/files/Hatton/RSS_Cal...

I've always wondered about this camera and thought it might only cover a maximum of two lanes, I always assumed it was the two motoway-bound lanes, since they ( especially the outside lane) are likely to catch the most people. The paper mentioned that the angle is too acute to read registrations, bu...

£2,443 at 21 would probably be a sporty hatchback, or an Impreza, Supra etc. £60 work at £10/hr = £600 + fine £260 + £60 costs & £15= £935=3 months insurance.... but he missed may till nov.... £295*7=£2065 Although get caught once (quite likely these days) and you get six points minimum, and the...

Just make sure it covers customer's property being stored temporarily.

Also get a good steel filing cabinet and lock the laptops in there when you are out, or a safe if you have room or can find one which is big enough at a decent price.

AFAIK Sustrans 2 already has the projects fully planned, it was just waiting for the money. I had a brief look at the local ones and many were short routes to link others together, but they were somewhat tricky ones.

I am presently serving a six month ban for 93 in a 60. I got a £650 fine AND the North Yorkshire Police officer running the speed trap was totally hidden from sight! He was totally dressed in black and was hiding behind a hedge! The court did not take into consideration any of my mitigating circums...

I thought it was on the harsh side to be honest, I was expecting a 14/28 day ban at worst.

On another note, the guy was an immigration minister, the issue could have been regarding a last minuite bid to avoid deportation by some guy on the steps of the plane while its engines were warming up. If you were in Texas, strapped in the chair, I imagine you would feel pretty pissed off if the g...

I entirely agree with paul . The clarification that amber running lamps aren't illegal if the white mandatory position lamps are in place is quite important. I disabled them on my cars because I think some people don't look properly and assume they are an indicator. I had a couple of near-misses a f...

Now we just need somebody to come up with an aid to overtaking - like a "front view" wing mirror, where you could look across and can see past the vehicle in front. Anybody had to rely on a partner/passenger to report on the road ahead from the passenger seat? You need to know each other ...

BSAU145d defines the mandatory size of UK number plates. If you use plate materials from another EU country (but with UK digits) the size can be whatever size their plates are. As mentioned there is an exemption for non-EU type approved vehicles where they can use the smaller "motorcycle" ...

The s59 warning is probably on dodgy ground, let's look at the legislation: (1) Where a constable in uniform has reasonable grounds for believing that a motor vehicle is being used on any occasion in a manner which- (a) contravenes section 3 or 34 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 (c. 52) (careless and i...

Even more seriously, a large proportion of the UK's 14.2 million cameras breach the Data Protection Act and so are illegal, the watchdog CameraWatch warned. 14.2 million? Previous Telegraph articles have quoted 4.2 million, or "nearly five million", and I think that figure is well overest...

Yeah, it would otherwise be white, which is unlikely for a forward facing camera. I can see a market for "bugger I've been flashed" detectors now!
