Actually I think you're right. The site couldn't possibly be serious. It made some other pretty outrageous claims about firearms and the health giving properties of car exhausts!

Not to be taken seriously.

Thanks everyone -some most interesting points. Interesting to see no-one supported the minority view that there should be no upper limit. I shan't say any more except I have once come across a person, with a web-site who promotes this view.

There is I believe a school of thought that the drink-drive limits, like the speed limits are arbitory and should be relaxed. I'm not sure if I subscribe to that train of thought but would be very interested in other peoples views.

Fair enough Peter. Thanks for the explanation.

I happen to disagree but if the debate about gun ownership is allowed then I may chip in my bit later. - Let's first see what the opinions of the others are.........

I've just clicked on a link provided by Lauren O Dare a few posts above which quite frankly shocked me: What amazes me is that such a site promoting the ownership of guns has any place on this site. I'm surprised at the owner allowing the link to stand and allowing the poster to continue posting suc...

You're dead right - that's why I don't work in London and accept a lower salary elsewhere - where I can cycle or walk to work. I consider my standard of living to be high enough without having to endure long commutes. I always consider whether; a) my journey is necessary b) whether I'm using the app...

I don't think taht's very friendly and maybe confrontational.

What do you think Paul?

This all sounds to me like examples of how building more roads simply leads to more congestion.

The RAC have a point. If people will stop and consider if that journey by car is really necessary then the roads would free up.

People who take the car to the Gym, then get on a walking or cycling machine amaze me.

Yes I know someone's going to say what when it's raining - I take the car when it's actually raining and cycle to work when it's not. So far this year (since January) I've taken the car 4 times.

I strongly suspect the oil compnies and petrol retailers are going to be laughing all the way to the bank over this. Queues to buy fuel at grossly inflated prices then of course no sales for a few days whilst they replenish their tanks and bank all the loot. Prices will then tumble and Gordon can in...

That's absolutely true Peter and you make a good point. So please Paul why have you given me a final warning when I was referring to someone who is not a member - the same Bogush being referred to by our mutual friend Peter? :?

As long as Bogush is supporting the anti-camera cause the pro-camera, pro-taxation mob are laughing all the way to the bank. He just causes bad feeling and divides everyone. You should see his site and the work he does on the BBC Nottingham discussion group. If it wasn't so serious it'd be laughable.

I've just visited here on reccommendation from bogush's site - it's your duty. You seem to have banned him according to his latest rant and he's got somew pretty bad things to say about it. The man's gone wierd - posting all sorts of anti-road pro speed camera stuff. What's happened? see http://www....
