The article is hardly ever vandalised, I and others see to that.

The article doesn't exist to promote Safespeed, its merely an encyclopaedic entry on what I believe to be a notable public road safety group.

Type WP:NOTABLE into Wikipedia if you'd like to learn more.

...as seen at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Safe_Speed#Safe_Speed . Now if you're unaware of Wikipedia policy I'd suggest that you not edit that entry, but it would of course help if anyone could let me know of any published, third-party reliable sources where Safespee...

I have been cycling for over 20 years and never have I gone over the bars as a result of too much front pressure.

You'd have to be a complete fuckwit to need this.

Thanks, I think I found what I was after.

Its a local forum where some people are arguing about the speed limit on a local road. I'm trying to emphasise the importance of driving to the conditions, and not rigidly adhering to a speed limit.

Hi, does anyone have a link to the official stats that show the causes of road traffic accidents? They include, IIRC, "did not look", "loss of control", "drink driving", and the ubiquitous "exceeding the speed limit". The government's own websites are like try...

I think having too many signs is a major problem. Signs should exist to warn of dangers not immediately obvious (wildlife crossing the road, regular ice, landslides, hidden junctions, school crossings), and directions. Have you noticed how many signs are erected these days with a reflective yellow b...

The vandal's IP is recorded in the history page for the article. I have no idea who it is but you can do a Whois IP search. The mods here will know if the IP matches anyone banned from here. If you wish to see what the vandalism was, use the 'compare' feature in the history page (example - http://en...

Sorry to drag up an old topic, and it may be distasteful at this sad time, but I have had to start moderating this wiki article as it was rife with vandalism. There have been recent edits made making light of recent events, the users responsible will be warned and then banned from Wikipedia if such ...

 YOU'VE BEEN SHAMED It seems the police are putting photos of drivers copped on camera on the internet  Under what law are they allowed to hand out this punishment? Also, do they have the person's permission to use their personal data in this way. Wouldn't want then falling foul ...

Well well, police officers are human. It must have been a slow news day to report on this.

What a waste of time and money to be offended at innocuous comments not intended for a public audience.

Reducing the speed limit is a lot cheaper than reengineering the junctions, or installing pedestrian bridges. Still, people will die and in a few years they'll try another crackpot scheme. And still, nobody will do the obvious thing and fence the road off, while installing bridges, or improving the ...

Paul, you have my support on your campaign but its needless self promotion to say 'famous' when talking about your own work. Let other people say its famous - only people like Paris Hilton big themselves up like this. Sorry to be critical. I also think it would help if you removed the singular from ...

Possibly because wet roads are usually greasy roads. Your accident was entirely preventable, but really you just need more experience. I suggest you buy a less powerful bike. Walk before you run. As I've already said, I didn't lose grip. I was riding fairly cautiously and I've ridden much harder in...

lol, not bad for someone who claims they're a great rider after 2 months :P I never once claimed I was a great rider. And how exactly was I supposed to foresee a physics quirk that I didn't even know existed happening under normal riding conditions? So STFU. Possibly because wet roads are usually g...

Personally I'd never cycle down a dual carriageway with fast moving traffic (motorway speeds) on it. You'd have to be mad.

Besides which, its very boring.

As a tv cameraman I can tell you that officer would almost certainly be fully visible from the road. But more importantly his bike is much more visible than himself and that is what is important.

Copyright includes 'fair useage', which is basically people looking at a picture on t'internet and giving comment, for non-profit purposes. http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/ltpmain/images/420.jpg Personally I don't see much wrong with that photo. I wouldn't miss that bike in a million sundays.

I don't really agree with any of this. It sounds as though the coach brakes are woefully inadequate.
