GMTV also reported this morning on possibly lowering the 70 mph speed limit. http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/22.gif We'll just spend longer on the roads completing our journeys then. Where's the logic in this (apart from more fines as they said it would be more 'rigorously' enforced...only one way tha...

160: Roundabouts :D -Use MSM at all stages ... now that would be nice (of course we understand signals if they would benefit other road users) -Time signals so as not to confuse other road users. Is that asking too much?? Many people actually need reminding what signals actually are. :t...

Skip Lorry Drivers   :( People complain about white van drivers but I find skip lorry drivers are really the worst! They tailgate, drive too fast and are generally aggressive. (I'm sure there's some lovely skip lorry drivers about I won't stereotype you all :D ) See you are from Esse...

Yes but no-one accepts any blame for anything anymore. No-one says, sorry, I made a mistake....EVER And where did it all start --?? Not exactly certain , but always seem to remember seeing advice in my insurance policy "never say sorry, or admit blame or liability" . Could this be the starting poin...

Am amazed and very worried at the number of pedestrians now just walking into the road and expecting cars to just stop. And kids on bikes: about 10 years upwards or when they're on big enough bikes, cycling at full pelt then swerving in front of you and turning right with no shoulder check; at leas...

Sounds like a typical 'underinflation> overheating > failure' sequence. Now if we had a good way to pick up either of the first two stages we could avoid the third. I know I've mentioned it before but I check tyre temperatures with my hand every time I stop on a fast run. It only takes a few second...

It's at night nrc? Are you sure he's looking at dashboard as opposed to head on chest for a little http://clicksmilies.com/s0105/schlafen/sleeping-smiley-015.gif snooze? (This is of course sleeping off Ernest's doughnut intake suggestion) Ahh it's making more and more sense! :D

I certainly agree with Sixy he should have held back. I assume SE you go out with your father quite a bit so you are noticing his skills slightly degenerating? Does he drive any other members of your family around so you could maybe get some backup then work out some 'positive' suggestions for your ...

...I don't think it's just education though; people need to change their attitude ... But why have they a bad attitude to start with? Is it because of the continuous 'beating down' by the authorities, scameras, artificial congestion etc., that has created or engendered this bad attitude? Personally...

Most TCs that I know are also interested in road safety and would probably agree with that statement. You're not blaming the police for cameras are you Sigma aren't they just for enforcing Government legislation and who puts them in control? I wish there were more TCs around, preferably in unmarked ...

So ECC didn't go so far as to even give you the contact name MG, or forward your e-mail on and copy you in on it. Anyway Where does Bedford come in? :? Sorry if I'm wrong here but I thought the police had some input somewhere along the line on road layouts? (There were some changes made to certain j...

It goes to show doesn't it how your 'state' affects your driving. Due to my profession I have learnt to stay focused but you know, sh*t happens, we're all human and I really notice the difference if I let stuff get on top of me. Then I get even more cross with myself for driving like that so I have ...

Erm, I think she is the instructor :D Well done for observation MP yes I am the instructor :P And why do I take them to Colchester? Don't they just love all those roundabouts after they've been round some rough tracks and a ford near Maldon. I work 'em hard!! :D I'll have the 'young' bit though MG ...

Is this the roundabout that takes you out of Colchester towards A12 South towards Chelmsford? Sorry I don't know the name of that roundabout but I travel round Colchester a bit on Pass Plus and what you're describing sounds vaguely familiar! !

I've also made several observations that would suggest that women in general are actually WORSE drivers. Generally if I see someone blocking a junction, dithering, generally looking confused and scared behind the wheel, its a woman. (And I'm allowed to say that :D ) I agree to a certain extent Sixy...

Have you got a reference for that please? I was afraid you were going to ask that. I will have a look. It was a report that was released a couple of years ago. It showed two graphs, men and women against age. Men started off "dangerous" and got safer while women stayed flat. The cross over point wa...

Taxi drivers round my way aren't too bad. I find skip lorry drivers are the worst by far. It's them that drive like they are late for a fare careering round without a thought for anyone else. They're usually on their phone whilst trying to stuff a sandwich down their throats being accompanied by obl...
