| So how do you define "hours of darkness"? If it's when it's actually dark, such a restriction would prevent any recently qualified driver from commuting to any full-time job by car. And people doing shiftwork are likely to need to commute at any time of the day or night. And would a restr... |

Personally in a perfect world I think the speed should be set at the 85 percentile with -5MPH for urban roads and +5 for rural/Motorways. These should be advisory speeds only. But the penalty for dangerous driving causing death or serious injury should be the same as murder. dreams are free. |

| I wouldn't worry too much, if you're on hospital grounds then there isn't much they can do in the way of enforcement (it's unlikely it's Highway authority land). Most of the hospitals I've worked with don't really care much about people parking left, right and centre anyway. Even if they do, just c... |

| Why don't they just say 'All motor vehicles should be taken away and crushed' that's what they really want. |

| I was driving home from work tonight and I got behind a motorbike with a sidecar. I then noticed that below his number plate he had a electronic LED scrolling sign that said 'Why the need to rush ?' It was only about an inch and a half high, so you did have to get close to read it. Also when he indi... |

Looking at street view It seems that the road surface and road markings need some work done to them. I wonder what it is like in bright sunlight and low light/heavy rain as well. And also what speed were the 'speeding' cars doing ? |

| Hi, a friend of mine was overspeeding at 37mph in a 30mph zone. She was using her expired provisional license but has requited for a new one that is yet to come. What happens now? Will the punishment be really bad or will she get a fixed point? Please help. It's really urgent! Thank you. Why is it ... |

my new name for tailgater's and especially those who just hang on to the car in front and don't seem to overtake. Yappy drivers. Like small yappy type dogs. They just hang on and don't let go. |

| I've watched others drive past cameras (as a passenger), their checking the speedo 3-4 times on close approach is a regular occurrence - even though they were within the limit in the first place. There's a camera on a 40mph road which I regularly use. Very often I see the car, or cars, in front of ... |

| How can a numerical speed sign dictate what is dangerous? It's just a sign that sits there doing nothing WEEPEJ? No, it's a sign that tells people what the maximum speed limit is. They are then supposed to adjust their driving accordingly. But the problem is that a lot of people don't adjust their ... |

And the same can be said about New Zealand as well. NZ government usually takes on road safety ideas from Victoria, which is sad. If Victoria is doing it, NZ will soon follow. |
