I totally agree with you, but I won't comment further because I'll find myself going into "rant" mode. My kids already think I would be a natural for "Grumpy Old Men" and I'm not even that old. However, this country is becoming sicker by the day. The perspectives of those in auth...

Why should they remove it? They appear to be a great way of educating stupid "get out of my way" drivers not to be, er, so stupid; especially if they have do deal with six months of protracted conflabulation with their insurance company after a little shunt caused by their ridiculous driv...

9/1/1 for Boris, or "BoJo" as Vanessa Feltz has been heard to refer to him.

I would have/will vote that way anyway.

It's different, I'm lost and I don't like it. :D

Seriously, it does look good but will take a little getting used to.

Well done.

I didn't want to quote Rumbly's post, as its understandably long, but almost exactly the same thing happened to me about 35 years ago. A small boy, I believe about 4 years old, ran into the road and ran straight into the rear left panel of my Escort estate. This happened right outside a Police Stati...

I picked up a new (to me) bike from north Wales a couple of weeks ago. I then rode back along the coastal road which is 2 or 3 lanes for its entire length, mostly NSL, occasional 50 limit where is passed close to a large town. Almost everyone was driving about 5 mph under the speed limit, but the ma...

Sorry, BT, I didn't communicate very well. My Hayabusa has 2 seperate headlights, one H4 and one H7. I can't remember which way round they are at the moment, but it doesn't matter. This bike therefore has main and dip beam, both HID, and has passed an MOT with this set up. A friend has a Deauville, ...

My Hayabusa has an H4 and an H7 headlight fittings, and I've had HID's in it for almost 2 years. The difference is that the busa doesn't attempt to use the second filament. A friend of mine fitted an HID to a Dullsville and lost his main beam, but said it didn't matter as the dip beam was now so goo...

There also used to be an offence of Drunk and Incapable under the Metropolitan Police Act, so it applied to London only. Don't know whether it's still around.

So this kitchen, the one with the freshly made custard tart, where is it exactly?

And this freshly made custard tart, the one that's in this kitchen, whereabouts in the kitchen is it?

I love custard tart, me.

I was driving behind a lorry today which had a very large crane on the back, I can't remember what they're called in the trade but I think they carry and unload building materials. However, this one was empty and, whilst the driver was not reckless, he easily cruised at an indicated 35 (on my speedo...

I made this simple diagram for you all. See if you can spot the difference and decide which is safer :) Accusing people who disagree with you as being trolls is trolling itself, and a subtle but powerful form of ad hominem attack. Whats more, looks like road you've drawn should be a 20 max, enforce...

Can't believe this. It must be the bikers who only tax for the summer months and delare SORN for the winter.

Otherwise the level of government and Police incompetence that allows 40% of bikes to be untaxed is breathtaking.

What happens if you don't live in a parish, or at least don't have a parish council?

Apart from that, if this is true, there's lots that a bit of organisation could achieve.

I only recently joined the forum, mainly because of the depth and breadth of Paul's intellect in presenting his case.

I'm shocked by this news, and offer my condolences to those left behind.

What does "I feel much more Welsh in part" mean.

Perhaps he does need to concentrate on his English.

But isn't he really an a******e?

If you tell them now, they can reissue. If you wait for Court, the CPS will have to withdraw. The same thing happened to me a few years ago with reference to a speeding charge when the summons had the wrong road on it. On solicitors advice, I pleaded not guilty, then pointed out in court that the ro...

Or some kind of representation-by-voting system that ensures only laws that "everyone universally thinks are sensible" remain on the books?

We could call it "Democracy".
