Are you Scots in favour of dissolution of the union and an independent Scotland then? I don't know any Scottish people so haven't discussed it with anyone or any knowledge what the prevailing opinion is. As for the original topic, I hope they give you a speaking spot, Claire. Please report back, eve...

They should have both kept their mouths shut. Lot of people do this and don't feel the need to incriminate themselves. We all know those in charge take a dim view of it. Makes a mockery of the system and we can't have that, now can we? It also costs a us, the tax payer, in funding the police investi...

£4.99 meal 'deal' on the A1 in Doncaster. A fiver! For a sarnie (not very nice, I might add), bag of crisps and a drink. Not even a motorway, either.

I have had this many times. Most lights are timed but a lot switch to sensor at night. The sensors do not pick up motorcycles. Trying to get across London in the wee small hours can be a nightmare because none of the lights change! I have had to sit at almost every set of lights and eventually go th...

Bit excessive. I agree it is risky behaviour but destroying people's phones? I would have said despite the number of people I see using phones, that accidents involving mobiles have dropped dramatically since the ban was introduced and I would have said it was having an impact. I do text if stuck in...

Depends if certain aspects of that law have been perverted for financial gain, are out of touch with reality or largely ignored by the majority. Policing is by consent of the people, after all. Or supposedly.

I am a biker, I have lost people, but I still expect the police to behave in a certain way, not accost law abiding citizerns and then try to find fault with their vehicles. They used to do that sort of thing in the Eastern Bloc. Why should he go to prison? The road used to be a 70, and is probably t...

As my post in another thread states, it has got that bad. I worked in West London over the summer and there was a single line outside my work. It was a busy street, but not red route - parking restrictions only applied during rush hour. Fair enough. Except the sign stating this was the size of a fag...

Unfortunately I think the problem is systemic. A lot of self-interested people masquerading as safety crusaders are getting very rich. Then you have the police, many of them are amazing individuals, good at their jobs, helpful and serve the public interest to the very best of their abilities. I have...

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa, Zippo! Steady on! Prosecuting people for driving badly?! Imagine the paper work! It is far easier to just stick a camera up and automatically invoice them for their transgressions. It also means our police force do not have to use their brains. You are either over the limit or you ...

I have never understood the prodigal son parable either. That said, my pops treats us equally. My brother is a nice, sensible lad so has been afforded certain privileges that I never will, one being using the car. I don't mind, of course. It is his car. Moley - I would suggest buying them a crap car...

I am against any of these type of devices. In an ideal world, kids would look after their mum and dad's cars out of respect for their parents and fear of the consequences if as much as a scratch was attributable to misuse. I remember my brother knocked a reflector out of the back of my dad's car due...

All of those offences mentioned are non-endorsable. You just get a letter in the post and have to cough up £60+. It has all gone too far imo.

Traffic islands, no right turn, parking (some parts of London are a nigtmare - you can't even pull up without a ticket being issued and on it's way to you - and no, I do not mean red route)

Newham Way has long had the average speed cameras and the gatsos bagged up. Fair enough, it's 50, which is at least bearable. However what is going on with the road from East India tunnel to the 50 mph and from the 50 mph. This is, technically, a 30, although it is impossible to keep to 30 and no on...
