An admirable crusader for common sense, you were a knight in shining armour!
My deepest sympathies go out to Claire. |

Are you looking for something objective or subjective? Do you want to be able to quantify it? I know myself when I'm driving at a speed that I'm comfortable at, but that isn't dictated by anything or anyone that's not privvy to the state of of the car, me or the conditions I'm driving in. I personal... |

I was taught that wherever it's safe to do so, you should use as much of the entire width of the available road as possible. In your case Paul, I suppose it must be a bit like taking the 'racing' like where you travel the shortest distance while making best use of the power and speed available to yo... |

Paul,
If I may just add my 2p's worth by way of a little constructive criticism?
It might be an idea to find a synonym for the word 'dodgy'. It sounds a little unprofessional in my opinion.
Good call nonetheless. |

When checked against GPS, my last car's speedo show about 7MPH difference comparing when my rear tyres were brand new and worn out!! Tyre pressure counts too!! |

Rod - its definately a fiesta. Yeah, it does look bad, but I reckon as long as all the wheels are pointing in the right direction, nothing was fouling and he proceeded without the trailer it'd be safe enough for a short trip on minor roads. Still a bit risky for the BiB to recommend he proceed with... |

Someone undertake on a dual carriageway - the vehicle ahead was in the correct lane but wasn't doing the 90 mph (or whatever) that the twat wanted to go at. Sorry, it's a small point, but at the risk of sounding antagonistic, but my curiosity has gotten the better of me...........sorry! If the vehi... |

"Looking at it from the other aspect of the vehicle 'racing', you don't make it entirely clear why they're racing" Speaking personally, it would only be because it's far safer to accelerate and create more space between myself and anything behind me rather than decelerate and create a haz... |

I hope he didn't mean drive it away with the boat attached. If he could unhitch the boat, I'd be likely to agree that the car itself was beyond all reasonable doubt driveable. As long as none of the suspension components were affected. Towbars tend to be attached to the floor and/or rear chassis rai... |

I was taught that traffic already on the motorway is not obliged to yield to vehicles emerging from a slip road, however, in the interests of traffic flow and overall safety it makes sense to allow plenty of room for vehicles to merg or indeed if it's safe to do so, briefly change lanes to vacate la... |

the old supra had problems with head gaskets which puts me off the newer one The MKIII (pop up headlights) suffered CHG issues due to a badly translated build manual apparently, (I know, I had one and it was a money pit!), but the problem was resolved on the MKIV's. The later Supras are very very r... |

I too wouldn't have left lane 1. In fact I don't ever unless I absolutely have to. I don't actually like being in lane 3, but I use it if I need to. Tell you what really microwaves my bladder though, is when I have used lane 3 and want to retire to lane 1 'cos there's bags of space there, but can't ... |

I'm glad I'm not the only one!!
I wish I'd thought up the 'one car different driver'' approach! And the balaclava idea, is brilliant, but a crash helmet would be better I think, after all we'd be doing such a dangerous thing!! |

Just thinking out loud and I appreciate that this might, (well, will!), sound stupid, and perhaps self destructive, but I've always thought that a mass 'fly by' of as many scameras as possible would be good exposure. I mean, get loads of people to drive past the same scamera(s) and set it/them off l... |
