I must say it is odd how so many of you are suddenly concerned about the law being broken, not least Mr Smith… zzz… who I would like to remind that SPEEDING IS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE. Smith may sneer at our proposals, but I do not see anyone that matters, taking the slightest notice of his rather school...

Thank you to everyone who responded. The action being taken is not being put into place without any thought and has the agreement of locals who are more than willing to be put out a bit. Also every driver in this village has agreed to drive here at no more than 25mph. If drivers were to cut through ...

This is good news!!! I posted here some time ago about the problems we have with rat runners / speeders in our village. Our Council have agreed to remove the road markings - this article gives me hope that they may do more! Just to clarify - we have no street lights, no footpaths, winding / narrow r...

I know this road very well - the signing may not have been legal, but it was clear. The offending motorists in question should not be allowed to worm their way out in my view. I therefore support the SCP's stance on this.

malcolmw - do you mean no thought for other people in the same way as speeding motorists have no thought for anybody but themselves? What I mean is that the only person to benefit from speeding is the offending motorist. Everyone else is put at higher risk should an accident occur, not least cyclist...

Most cyclists instinctively know that riding on the pavement, going through red lights and down one-way streets the wrong way are not dangerous practices and are actually safer for them most of the time. Just as motorists know that breaking the law by speeding isn't always dangerous. Accidents such ...

What is a 30mph zone? As far as I know there is no such thing. Maybe someone from SS can explain? Does Mr Smith know the difference between a limit and a zone? And from what I can gather accidents in 20mph "Home Zones" are virtually non-existent. PS: The Fog PR was hilarious. Was it a joke...

There is a problem in the village where I Iive with rat running drivers who speed and also drive at inappropriate speeds within the 30mph limit. A recent meeting attracted over 100 people and the problem was discussed. There was almost a riot! The support for cameras, mobile and fixed, as well as ot...
