Strangely enough the Highway Code makes no mention of this and the official DSA publication makes no mention either So look at it from the drivers viewpoint 1. If he pulls in and loses time - it's on his tacho - then odds are the operator will not be happy, especially if he's late 2. What are his ch...

Surely the situation is that Some drivers want to overtake and some do not for various reasons, therefore common courtesy and manners dictates that if you are a non overtaker then you allow space in front of you for overtakers to move into this lets them go and keeps them calm, also allows you space...

IMHO what kicked this thread off is the public perception that there is on the road one rule for us and one rule fo them with occasionally some one who's face doesn't fit being made an example of.(And I know someone who was in the Met that this happened to) I have watched in the last week some other...

Some thoughts...
Well at least the pratnershit had a nice interest free loan.
I would suggest an on the ball lawyer could have a field day with this
and there goes more goodwill for the police

Radio - I have a choice of foot operated or voice operated radio comms. I have seen both Met and Essex police cars where the driver has been using his personal RT, because they where single manned, drive through, at some speed, pelican crossings where the light has been against them good job no ped...

The interesting thing was that the BMW appeared to be single manned. Therefore all the devices had to be operated by the driver! I would suggest at least a charge of "without due care and attention" ahh but like the 159mph plod he wears his Y fronts outside his tights there goes yet more goodwill. T...

Given that the Conservative party will not even discuss quitting the EU, which is the source of much of the legislation that is devoted to “unreal road safety”, I feel that UKIP is the party to vote for.
Perhaps if the Tories promised to leave the EU they might win the election.

As well as LGV class C or C1 (my advise FWIW do the C any rigid over 7.5 as it will be handy for future employment especially if the boss is paying) you will have to do another theory and hazard perception as the pass mark is higher to be a "professional driver"
Good luck

That junction was badly designed from day 1, bear in mind you cannot get eastbound on the A13 but have to go down to the M25/A13 junction and fight your way out there or come out through Chafford Hundred. When it was planned "There will be tears was forecast" also I remember at the time Thurrock Cou...

If they are tailgating let them go by and drive to the scene of their accident. You don't really want someone that stupid near you

Which brings us back to part of my original question, if it is foggy and my rear fog light is on and a vehicle comes up behind me and can see me without the foglight needing to be on is it a)sensible and b)legal to switch it off so as not to dazzle the driver - unlike the person in front of me this ...

With the foggy season under way and some drivers using/not using fog lights I was wondering about opinion on this. If I am the last car in a "train" of vehicles and the weather warrents it I turn on my rear fog light, however if another vehicle joins behind me and is in my judgement close enough to ...

The idea to get the great unwashed out of their cars and into public transport is a EU idea (notice politicos never give up their cars which the tax payer generously funds). I wonder what 50m could have been better spent on and it's a fair bet that outside of London you'll be quicker and (currently)...

If I remember correctly 1975 and 1976 were long hot summers and this could explain increase of bikers
