Robin's got the cheek to call me a troll. I've seen nothing in your posts to confirm to me that you "do not speed" - ever - therefore it can be assumed that your a speeder and go above the law with the 10% speedo errors you mention earlier... I've given you plenty of opportunity to condone...

I'm not calling anyone a liar here - just disagreeing with them. Seems its open season to break the sites "code of conduct" - and Mr Smith (aka site admin) does nothing to stop it... Lovely forum this. The other chap "handy" is obviously not reading the posts - as I've already me...

cooperman - I've never seen a kid run out into the path of a plane landing at an airport or be cut up by the pilot behind him. most modern jets and even light aircraft have flight path guides and warnings - so the pilot is actually able to cut the amount he has to concentrate on - ultimately the bul...

I cant help if people cant hold their temper whilst driving - its unfortunate but often entertaining to see the person behind having steam coming out of their ears - as they've been slowed down and cant take situation in a calm and patient manner. If I find that funny then its a product of these peo...

where have to said you dont speed - thats what I like to know - the "exact opposite" is what you've said? i think your in denial like others in the forum and should seek a little solice in finding yourself out on a limb with most common sense, laws, economical and safe driving practices. i...

What speed were you doing in L2? the speed limit as posted on gantries on the autobahn - with cameras and german "gantry camera" equivalent. Saw many people slightly above that on one journey getting "flashed". Most people did the same and adhered to speed limit give or take 10 k...

 Smeegy is advising on expecting drivers to be approaching us slower more legal species of the common spotted driver - at the speed of up to 100mph... talk about sinking your own boat... as for reliant robinxe - wow - I'm not diverting anything - no one will admit their a crappy driver and li...

the trouble is robinxe is that no one seems to be able to admit that its bad/dangerous for people speeding behind slower overtakers in the situation you describe above - and I agree with your above sentiment on proper overtaking also. the overall feeling is that we "slo's" slow legal overt...

You mean those who deliberately or ignorantly do not keep left, presumably. I only support your view that we all need to behave on the road. Sorry, I dont subscribe to your other self centred propaganda. I will not condone people who are on the whole self serving and trying to get to their destinat...

Cant believe some of the posts that are coming in on this subject - perhaps Jeremy Vine would be better having a phone in for blinkered bloggers, tiresome threaders, flat forums or even cr**py contributors :) And we thought mlm's were ruining the driving experience :) Robin - totally agree - we need...

If the police are calling these people clod's then we have plenty of names to retort back if they truly drop the standard of argument to this. If the police werent busy oogling and wishing their evil way with our daughters/wifes/mothers walking along the road then we'd all be better off (see other a...

Whether people do their advance DT or not - the IAM do not condone at any point in their test the use of excessive speed!!! Not sure what planet you guys are on - but you've obviously not gone thru the test or other advancement yourselves - track days dont count :) ... None have come back with any v...

In germany I spent most of the time in l2 - as the german lorry drivers tend to make good use of l1 and dont dodge in and out partly due to specific "no lorry" overtaking rules/signs they have over there. I truely think that should be enforced over here too - on busy roads I've found that ...

civil engineer - your obviously making this up as you go along... unless people have range finder and speed lasers pointing out the back of their cars - then none of us truely know how far and fast someone is going behind us. We can guess by experience - but thats all its going to be - if they choos...

Just a retort to Mr Smith outpouring of points to us. Mr Smith seems to have cornered the market on what he thinks what it takes to be a good driver - but seems to have a rather narrow perception of what it takes to be a ""really"" good and safe driver. You think you're a good dr...

As most speed related forums have mentioned - as has this - one of the main reason for getting rid of the speed limits is that were checking it too much and not paying attention to whats ahead of us. Now call me old fashioned or what - but whats ahead is most important. Neither in the driving test o...

I dont consider what I did the other day as MLM - as others have stated they've said a few times now. I checked ahead, behind, and repeated. I pulled out in plenty of time to pass the slower vehicles "safely". Then as I was passing these vehicles much faster "angry white van man"...

The comment regarding the fault of the driver behind me getting killed - or me getting killed - its not clear at all Mr Smith. Who you mean is "not at fault" from your posting could be either one. This shows a misunderstanding that really casts a shadow on what your trying to achieve with ...

Again - please read my post - I've stated in my post that I was only talking about a 2 lane motorways stretch only. !!! A point even Site Admin seems to have missed in my post. This seems to be a regular occurance on these threads - and people are reading only what they want to see and no more. I ho...
