| Paul, just a thought, but does any of the data you have show any statistical anomalies over the last two winters? |

| Thanks for the PR Paul. This does become more interesting the more I read into it. Safecote say grip levels are unaffected on the pavement types they tested. That leaves quite a few getout options IMO. Did they test with UK asphalt? Did they test on all types of UK asphalt? Did they test grip levels... |

| Excuse the plug for a thread elsewhere, but there is a post running on Pistonheads about the councils adding beet extract to road salt over the last couple of years. If anyone has any comments, experience and more importantly ideas about the best way to tackle the problem I would appreciate any idea... |

The news of Mr Callaghan allegedly using police stationary for a personal matter is spreading
I for one will be watching very eagerly for Ms Twigg 's response. Was he acting on her behalf or not? It's a simple yes/no question as I see it.
This is most definitely "public interest" now. |

| Never give up looking for the way out. I suppose being a biker makes you always look for the escape route IMHO. Trees, NEVER. Just ask Marc Bolan. Oh, you can't, he's dead. Always choose man made objects such as signage or walls over trees. Trees have no give at all. Even a lamp post's a safer bet. ... |

| I'm always much more chilled behind the wheel after a nights "entertainment". It's a bit worrying with all the teenage drivers about, I can remember girls seemed to have a thing about offering, erm, Oral pleasure while driving. Of course, I'm forty now so I don't condine this sort of thing anymore! ... |

| What information would be useful to have? I was thinking about a particular stretch of road in Cambridgeshire as it has two cameras and I can work out when each was installed (Gets round the single site exclusion). I thought about requesting KSI by year, broken down into K Vs SI prior to the introdu... |

More like the containment of information act.
If you read the Cambs scammers statement, it details how they will prevent information getting into the public domain, not release it.
Anyone got any ideas how to get something interesting out of them? |

| I don't think Durham is soft... But I do think Durham is sensible. The A14 is NSL, but the problem is the high density of scameras. Not only is it festooned with fixed cameras, but the tax vans are everywhere. What do drivers have to do... Eyes off the road to check the speedo... and look at footbri... |

Oi, back on topic!
I hope you have all voiced your opinions on the A14 and how the plethora of scammers and their evil tools have made the road more dangerous.
We need to be campaigning for a HIGHER speed on this road to improve it's safety! Get mailing instead of answering the troll |

| This was posted on PistonHeads by the author http://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/safer-rider It is a site from Thames Valley police aimed at increasing rider safety. Compare and contrast this to some of the offerings from Brunstromania etc. IMO it gets the balance about right, it covers hazards, gives... |

| Not sure you have seen this Paul, but it makes interesting/scary reading. The offences that make the roads more dangerous seem to be going undetected in Brunstromania. Can't think why! http://www.wales.gov.uk/keypubstatisticsforwales/content/publication/transport/2003/wts2003/wts2003-ch5/wts2003-ch5... |

Probably a good idea to get in touch with the council (local highways agency) and see if it's designated as a public highway. If it is, you would have all manner of recourse against him should he clamp anyone.
If he does own the road then the clamping has to be adequately signed. |
