Try telling this poor lady that cyclists aren't dangerous. http://www.shropshirestar.com/news/emergency-services/2016/11/10/woman-pedestrian-suffers-serious-head-injuries-in-telford-cycle-collision/ We can all pick individual cases graball. And you when you say "that cyclists aren't dangerous&... |

You rather have your body have to deal with 40,500 joules of kinetic energy (1000kg car at 20mph) than 3,700 (92kg of person and bike at 20mph)?
Really? |

Your example makes no sense as 50 people would be clearly visible to both cyclist and driver and they would both stop or would not be on the pavement in the first place, well not the driver at least unless it is a deliberate act of aggression. It is far more likely that both would hit a single or s... |

On the subject of physics, the bike's weight is not that relevant if a 80Kg rider is on it and hits you at 20mph, what is more important is all of the pointy bits. Being hit at 20mph by a cyclist may be more dangerous than by a car as the car has been built with rounded surfaces designed to minimis... |

Neither are drivers.
Which is worse in your eyes though, cycling along a pavement, or driving along it? |

My point is can you not see the difference between somebody in a large vehicle with limited visibility driving along a pavement and somebody on a 28lb bike?
We're talking physics here. |

I don't condone cyclists doing it in the main, although I'm not going to get too angry at say a mum riding carefully on the pavement with her child. Can't you see the difference between somebody on a bike doing it and somebody in a car doing it though? If you can't, no wonder you find me so confusing! |

They want motorists to give them five feet of space when overtaking, but happily ignore it themselves! Spot the difference. 28lb bike and rider going past with a speed differential of 5mph or so, one tonne vehicle going past at 20mph +.. And not all cyclists behave the same as this idiot! There are... |

Grist to the mill that having video recording equipment on you can turn you into a complete arsehole! The lady probably should've waited behind the cyclist, but still it was a fair pass and she didn't cut him up. The cyclist is being roundly condemned on the Facebook page, which is full of cyclists ... |

This neigh defies belief! They have a legal obligation to provide proper marking on the road. Even to do this as an experiment seems that it ought to be illegal as it's totally unpredictable, unexpected (no warning signs of road or marking changes, no warning of no central line), and whilst it does... |

So what if there was a voluntary registration for cyclists? A chip you can allocate to a bike and let's just say for sake of argument that the existing cameras could pick it up and ID it? Would you then register ? You'd need all sorts of legislation and laws passed to get this through and allow it ... |
