A while back we had a flood of spam registrations using gmail and googlemail addresses, which is they were barred.

If I PM you a gmail account would you be able to set it manually?

If they've never had the training - I think it would be possible to misinterpret cyclecraft to be doing this, in a similar way it would be possible to be misinterpreting advanced driving advice to be on the right hand side of the road entering any left handers. Seems like an advert for advanced road...

To expand on why I would be confident about that: I've experienced total overcooking, but I've never experienced a genuinely straightline RWD skid, apart from one or two clutch dumps in my driving life, even on a skid pan. So I wasn't able to recognise the signs very quickly. I would, however, have ...

Pusher* (although it is a volvo 740 estate with under 140hp...)- I am pretty confident I would have corrected it by instinct if it did try to pull me the wrong way round, however straightline skid is a bit harder because it's harder (at least for me) to know it's skidding in the first place as the o...

It's not a bad website actually, I've used it to comment on several local transport proposals.

However, it's still a bunch of enviro-nutters that are in charge, sadly.

I guessed 50 because of the hazard lines - btw, this might be a stupid question but where exactly is the three quarters blind spot, as I often have similar problems with dippys, but also have a combined 370 watts to throw at the problem... I visualise it from what you say as implying that I should b...

I believe that the vast majority of comprehensive policies that allow you to drive other people's cars insist the other cars are already insured - this is an obvious source of confusion...

Today, I was turning right onto a major (in relation to mine) NSL road with very poor visibility in both directions. The road surface was pretty wet, and once I had committed I was of course monitoring traffic in case I needed to make a quick getaway. Almost immediately after committing I saw a lorr...

I see the funny side! Honest! I can think of worse forms of vandalism. I suppose if they cop him.. he will get community service.. cleaning up graffiti   But he used stickers - easy to remove and not paint... rather think he would not get the "book" thrown at him a...

I think you could show advanced skills at these speeds, but only through commentary*. Unfortunately this requires additional skills to advanced riding imho. *This applies in general in my opinion; A passenger of someone driving well at 160 on a motorway can appreciate their skill, where as a passeng...

I have a bike licence... and that's it (although I do read Bike magazine monthly); when I can afford to ride both a bike and a car, I'm afraid I'll (probably) be getting a fun car and a commuting bike. That said, hello!

So from this mini-discussion we can see two thing:

* It would be nice if drivers could mark hazards in some way. Sadly, we currently have warning triangles and they don't seem to be used so this is not that useful

* We need to stop diesel spills. Any reason we can't get rid of the air vents?

Hello chaps, just got back from the pub so sorry if this message isn't so coherenet, but having seen the traffic in the village I agree that, from observing it, it seems too fast. The funny thing is I couldn't work out why it was flowing so quickly; I didn't have the time to sit there unfortunately....
