I am attending a presentation on the Herts Safety Camera Partnerships work on Thursday, given by one of the partnerships members. I expect there will be a question and answer session. I have one or two question I may ask around the provision of raw accident data to back up the suitability of sites, ...

I am not going to vote as I am unsure as to the effects on me personally. I would definately get very bored with driving at those speeds on a wide open empty motorway all the time. whether that would affect my concentraction I would not know unless I was forced to drive in that manner. As to HGV's b...

Im surprised this is the case. Wonder what the background is on that?

Mini roundabouts are seen as a traffic calming feature or a speed reducing feature if they are observed correctly.

Funding for them can come from many sources, normally on the basis of accident reductions.

Obviously their effectiveness is reliant on their observance by motorists.

More like 'Paul Smith from Safe Speed had the following to say.....' etc. It was part of a bulletin to do with the Idr...

My observation skils were greatly improved, as well as improvi...

The construction industry has one of the worst health and safety records in the UK. This is despite recent introduction of CDM regs and tightening up of H&S.

Yes, incidents can occur for for many reasons. but the loss is the same.

Is the Government going to review and raise the minimum driver standards required in the uk? I know we all make mistakes, but some drivers show complete lack of awareness. The test doesn't include motorway driving, why is this? Its seems crazy not to include it. Motorways are the fastest most intimi...

This is a welcome U turn. I rember when working for a TfL consultant responsible for maintenance of all the Red Routes in north London a few years ago, at the time there were already Gatso's everywhere every few miles apart, to 'find some more sites'. At the time there were no guidelines. When I ask...
