Seems the ABD are fantasising again. 1st, Humberside and other police areas do not enforce the speed limit at 1mph above the speed limit. Quite why that was claimed is beyond me and I wouldn't like to speculate why it was included in the report but it does signify, very clearly, the quality of the r... |

The extreme rarity of incidents like this means that neither side can draw any statistical conclusions from one event . We also do not know the cause of the incident. The very dangerous junction of Whinwhistle Road and the A36 had cameras installed many years ago and only 2 weeks later there was a ... |

...and not to mention so soon after raising the speed limit of HGV's from 40mph to 50mph
Oh! I notice you didn't mention that. |

The prosecution don't and can't claim costs for an investigation. The investigation was completed and a prosecution brought. The defendant then took further action and challenged the evidence. Any further response made by the crown to the technical defence are not considered necessary costs to be c... |

Yes, I agree that there is a lot wrong with this. "The speed camera rules are that they should be sited in accident blackspots..." Are these really the "rules"? How does this square with the use of cameras on motorways which are by far the safest roads per vehicle mile? Why are ... |

So let's say Greenshed that I find someone who is willing to provide the paperwork, showing a NIP below the 10%+2 (in an automated camera enforcement location), how can you then have that removed from their licence please ? I am assuming it would involve a Court ? Or do you have other ways in which... |

For some strange reason the media seem to like quoting you and your website. I think it is simply becuse you are prepared to say what they want you to say and it is outside support for sensation. You are "acting on it" because you are publishing this information and passing it to the media... |

Whilst I have no proof I do think it goes on (lower than 10% +2) as I have heard it from so many many places . People rarely want to be the one standing out from the crowd and they feel uneasy when they are. I do wish I could bring someone forward and show you. However time will show one I'm sure s... |

It is a well-known fact that police operate databases to administer their speed and other enforcement activity. I have attended 3 speed awareness courses and on all 3 courses there have been attendees saying that they have been given tickets for 32, 33 and 34mph in a 30mph speed limit. It is amusing... |

Essex police operate mobile units on motorcycles with hand-held laser/camera combinations. These units mostly operate exactly the same as the units in safety camera vans. The units are operated by police officers and police staff. |

I am hearing of an increasing number of people who are receiving NIP's for below 10%+2 - often on air discussing it with interviewers or their other guests! I agree any callers to their programs would need to validate their claim, but it is happening. I have also seen that some southern Counties ar... |

You are confused. There is no agreement to commence SAC at 10%. The lowest is 10%+2mph. I have asked those partnerships who are in the national scheme if they have offered any course at lower than 35 in a 30, none have responded to say they have all respondents say not. It is not uncommon for attend... |

The only amusing thing about that letter is the thought of your foolish smugness after sending it and the laughter of those receiving it. |

The real reason the 80mph limit was shelved was because when those proposing it were asks for the evidence to support their feeble justification they had none; hence no change. |
