Lancashire sent me a demand to disclose the driver of a vehicle that I had disposed of 18months previous and knew that I had informed the DVLA at the time. They were lucky that I didn't contact the IPCC but it was out of the required time limit. I have also just had a visit from our head of road pol...

Derbyshire.-- Now that the A623 Chapel-en-le-Frith-- Chesterfield has been reduced to 50MPH they have a camera van of silver/grey colour located between Wardlow Mires and Stoney Middleton. When leaving Wardlow Mires travelling towards Stoney Middleton he is located on the top of the hill on the left...

Can anyone supply a photograph of the unmarked (green) camera vehicle which operated in Derbyshire some while back.? They now operate a silver/grey one on the A623 at Wardlow Mires mainly on Sundays when less HGVs are about and one can travel at an acceptable speed and not the new lower limit of 50...

Different County Pships employ different bodies to run the courses. Some are expanding into new courses too ... there has been some consideration given to Motorbike courses, dangerous driving courses and mobile courses. So there is ample scope for funds to filter back to those companies ... The arr...

As I said, "Devious". North Yorks C/Constable was hauled over the coals for aiding a relation to obtain a position on the forces employment. His A/C was also involved. As the saying goes, "Who's policing the police.?) Its obvious that he will retire soon. C/Constables were being appoi...

This will be self financing as "speed awarness courses" will be offered and "they keep all that finance". Also some C/Constables are raising the speed limit on these courses (could be up to 40MPH in a 30MPH) so that they absorb more into the courses and therefore generate more fi...

I wrote to the North Yorks Police on this matter stating that the finances would be better expended in other areas and after two letters of exchange was contacted by phone from the officer I/C traffic. We had a very heated exchange on the subject, however, he stated that the equipment was only being ...

I believe there should be a colocated sign (speed and camera) within one kilometre from the camera site. Also if you live in another County from where you got zapped then I would personally stick it out. I'd file the first NIP(in the bin) and see if they sent another by recorded delivery. If a secon...

. Higher speeds mean more concentration and one cannot do that when seeking out any cameras that may be around. OLLIE OLLIE - not being judgemental - an observation - and something you might like to try .At a set speed, what extra observation time do you comfortably have to spare ,and does dropping...

Camera use has made my driving worse these past years. I now concentrate around the road and not on the road. I am never relaxed and concentrating on the areas that are required for safe driving. Higher speeds mean more concentration and one cannot do that when seeking out any cameras that may be ar...

Second Mr F's behaviours is just utterly appalling, there is just no excuse for this wanton disregard for human life. No one mentions that he called out when opening his door to talk with the cyclist, but it is not clear if they could have heard. This really reinforces my view that potential driver...

How do companies survive if they do not make a profit.? The road safety organizations are there to see that they do make a profit so that they stay in employment. Where else in the World is there an organization which has a licence to print money.? There is also no competition for them to contend wi...

I would write to the C/C and ask when the Stasi were trained to use the equipment they have been given and who trained them. CPO'S would train them Those in road safety have to be trained every so often by the supplying company for such equipment so the accuracy will not be acceptable in law. Ask i...
