Essex say they need 2 billion to do all they need to do , and have no hope of getting that money from any government. They do the best they can. I have noticed last weekend, on the infamous m4 motorway, lots of road works. It seems its all about putting in pipes to carry electrical cable. I can only...

OU812, have you ever contacted any of the 3 Councils that have representatives on the scameraship steering committee? I have contacted 1 and about to contact a 2nd. It looks like the Coucils are represented by officers and not councillors on the committee. and there is little reporting/control exer...

without blowing my own trumpet i could tell you the speeds of passing vehicles to within 2mph, just by a quick glance To be fair, I have heard this from another policeman , who I would trust 110 percent as for noise.. again right on the money, Noise is perceived as speed , and the demand for speed ...

AND dont forget, steer clear of kendal or Penrith between 9-10am, 12noon and 2pm, 4-6pm and 7-9pm, these are odd hours. most accidents are between 8-9 am and 4-5pm.. ie rush hour.. now there is a surpise... clearly in your area, there is a difference... it's the holiday makers.. gettin out of bed a...

Dave Gollicker, from the Avon and Somerset Safety Camera Partnership, said drivers should not need an extra sign to tell them what the speed limit is. ffs.. if we tell people what the speed limit is they may slow down, our income goes to hell. and my gold plated pension gets shot to pieces.. I want...

hi rigpig, in the nicest possible way, I can not accept for one moment your view about the authoroties. To all intents and purposes these schemes are run by the council with the authority given to them by the police . EVERY scheme comes with a proposed biz niz plan, ie profit and loss. I have seen o...

please can I ask? If it is so difficult for many people here to keep an eye on their speedometer how are you going to manage to stay below 56 mph? Like all drivers I am sure they will be exceptionally carefull & if that ends up at a long way below 56 mph , so be it.. With a lot of traffic about...

I'd like to see more which incontrovertibly stated that 85th to 90th percentile was the safest speed as this link tends to suggest that such research is in short supply. I have seen a graph, may well be on safe speed, or linked from it, It's like a hocky stick in shape , One of the uni's was paid v...

I am not up to all the maths u guys are talking about, so going back to my first post.. looking at the line I wanted to draw, but u ignored  I guess it crosses with the following numbers of feet to go before impact. 6, 15, 20, 25 35, the curve is turning down, ie speed. there is still a distanc...
