In an attempt to get this topic back online, I drove down the affected part of the M4 twice today the first being about 7AM, no speed camera vans, or marked Police cars. Cars not even bothered by the limit, plenty went bombing past us (We were doing around 70). :o On the way back about 1PM same agai...

You are driving along the motorway at 70MPH something happens to your side, you accelerate to clear it and end up doing 85MPH as a result. 1. Speed Camera Van clocks you and done for speeding :o 2. Police Car sees you, pulls you gives you a listens to what you have to say and uses his discretion as ...

I have spent years driving in Germany where by law you have to use your indicators, if you don't they will hit you and then sue even if it is them in the wrong as they will prove you were in the wrong, for not indicating. I indicate even when it is not needed, becasue I do not even think about it, i...

Why do people have a problem with overtaking Police Cars doing 60 :? It winds me up, not the Polices faultin my eyes. I had a Police Car at night on the M4 bomb down the outside lane slow down and pull in behind me in the inside lane for a couple of miles I was doing 70 at the time, then bomb past a...

If they limit cars to 70 then what will they do with all the camera vans :? I think this is the most ridiculous idea and most motoring groups have already said there are times when you have to speed up to get out of the way of an incident, that is going to be great when you can only max out at 70 MP...

So...this'll be a Mini Adventure then?

They won't like that, to be associated with the new/BMW MINI, some that have been on the run have been a little anti social towards those who have turned up in a new MINI. In fact bordering on criminal damage in some cases :o :o

Hmmm would this be the Mini weekend that has ruined the weekends of new MINI owners who have been on the run for the last couple of years and had abuse and eggs thrown at them, despite them owning classic mini as well :?

I posted this elsewhere, but here is a clipping past on to me :D http://www.redwhitecooper.co.uk/images/M4Cameras.jpg Also if you visit the BBC News Site, where they have a video clip you can see that the van has been parked on the pavement with no room to pass, therefore any pedestrians would have ...

I drove along that stretch last Friday and saw no difference that usual apart from people stariing at there speedo's :o That must have been why they were tailgating, hogging the middle lane and cutting people up  I think the camera missed those people though. At the other end of the scale &am...

The local Safety Camera Highwaymen have just been on the local ITV news claiming that if this protest highlights their cause then it is good. They have also recently cut the speed limit between Corsham and Box from 60Mph to 50 Mph why I do not know as it is a long straigh road. Hmmm More money for t...
