| The two lower images posted by "Orange" are interesting and raise a number of points, the first being: At what speed were the veicles travelling when the images were taken? Secondly, at what magnification were the images taken? Thirdly, what isthe nominal focal length of the camera lens for the magn... |

| Rioman, And Florida? Sorry ish, don't know about Florida. Perhaps you could help us out on that one. But the Scandinavians have the rule due to poor natural light at northern latitudes, as outlined in previous post (n.b. am frequent visitor to Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki & Tampera). :) Hi Rioman,... |

| Rioman, And Florida? Paul, Not many pedestrians on the M4. In all seriousness though, I drive to the conditions on the road and its surroundings at the time. As for motorcyclists, dipped headlights are OK, full beam are not. Neither are Magenta, Red, or other "filtered" lights. And if all of us drov... |

(My bold) Oh yes there were ish - just not all marked, that's all  Shame I missed that volvo th... |

| I lived, worked and driven in Sweden for a year, where dipped headlights are compulsory and I believe all new cars sold since the early '90's they are wired into the ignition. The same is now happening in Florida and other US States. On almost all roads, I now drive with dipped headlights and, of co... |

You never know - there may be another "coach fire", or an "over-turned car transporter", or a "chemical tanker spillage", all of which have recently caused the total closure of the M4 in both directions for hours.
That would probably spoil the day for all of us! |

| I travelled M4 west-bound this morning from J13 at Newbury to the M5 - approx 07.20 to 08.35. No Camera vans sighted at all between J14 and J18; no Police patrols either - no change there. Experianced many instances of tailgating, the most concerning being a Black Volvo V40 estate car that came with... |

| April 30 is not possible for me. However, I was on the M4 on the "first" day of the recent campaign, April 6. My average speed for the M4 westbound: J14 to 18 was significantly less than 56mph due to lane hogging and tailgating by other drivers. My average speed on the return journey as far as J15 w... |
