I watched a TV program a while ago about a certain font which is apparently used everywhere but for the life of me I can't remember it's name.
Does anybody know?

That's it!

I knew I would know it when I heard it.

Cheers Rigpig.

Oh god, thanks for reminding me. Some secretary in one of my previous employers finance departments loves Comic Sans. I have a letter somewhere telling me that I'm getting made redundant... written in Comic Sans. I also get annual pension scheme updates telling me that I will be entitled to a £10/month pension in 2050ish, written in Comic Sans.

I regularly receive emails from colleagues who have clearly decided that a background that looks like your puppy has walked across the page is appropriate on company communication. I dread to think what they send to our customers/suppliers.

They all also really like changing their sig so it's in different fonts, sizes and colours. :banghead: Am I the idiot spending my time at work actually working instead of playing about with Outlook?

What really annoys me is that I have sort the reply to remove all that s:censored:t before I hit send.

Helvetica is also known on some platforms as SWISS.
Maybe Wildy can elaborate!

Emails that have been forwarded and forwarded, and contain all the addresses of the previous senders and all of their recipients annoy me!
It is lazy and stupid - one email can be harvested of dozens of addresses for spammers!

Sometimes in the past when I have had time, I have emailed all the ones with government department connections, telling them which of their friends gifted me with their email address! :)

As do those where some kind person forwards a received email to all in their address book - at the top of the page is a list of names a mile long, followed by a small message. I use a few addresses, gathered over the years(and used for various purposes ) - used to get the same e mail from one person on all addresses some time back till I blocked mail on all but one address.

That's why it's called Comic Sans - because they're having a laugh! :x

If you really want to mark yourself out as a serious minded executive always use comic sans!

Set Outlook to read all mail as text by default (Tools->Options->Email Options), your reply/forward will also be plain text (may have to set your default sending format to plain as well). This messes up formatted columns etc. but you can easily turn html back on for the email on a one off basis.

Sorry if this is training you to suck eggs.
