Put in some criteria, and it tells you what car suits you.

I did, and initially laughed as it told me the only car I could buy was a Honda Civic, but in fact both the ads it linked me to were for the Type R, which while I wouldn't specifically buy one (because I think they're ugly), is just my type of car.

I guessed at Mrs Theboy's parameters and got eleven generally quite appropriate choices, including her current car!

It does seem to favour certain makes though: even though I specified the highest performance setting, whatever else I fiddle with, I get some kind of Smart car, as did Mrs Theboy's searches.

It also seems to dislike certain others. I set the parameters specifically to favour the car I have on order, and it wouldn't play, even when I loosened the net considerably, though it did suggest a Freelander - apparently the car for a "squealing speed demon" :rofl:.

Anyone else care to try?

Having delved a bit deeper, I suspect it will only recommend what it knows it can sell you from it's current ads.

Me .. I find our family cars quite adequate for our much smaller family (I've 4 kids.. two grown and both plods now. and two younger ones.. on the exam treadmill still My eldest son is married and I am now gonna be a "grump-pa" to use the Mad Lad's term Happy event due as a Christmas present to me and mine. )


Anyway .. I digress in excitement here :bounce: and whoops . a coupla quid to Claire here as the riff raff claw us for every charity penny with some weighting re their "spon-don" these days .. )

Back to Johnny's thread - it's fun. I'd take with a pinch of salt though .. It suggested a Volvo "tank" to me . just now.. Nothing against Volvo.. - I have owned in the past

However the questionarre does not seem to allow for the desire to transport 30 bags of readymix from Wicks or sheets of 4X8, so I had to improvise somewhat.

Dont think its much wrong though.

Having said that I think I will stick with the 94 Landcruiser 4.2TD!

Dont really want a modern one stuffed with expensive unrepairable techycrap!

Well, the lowest their budget goes seems to be £5k, so I doubt they'd have anything that would turn heads, go fast and seat 5 for my budget of <£1k!
