I made this video when I visited Eastbourne earlier this year in August - I went to see the annual 'Airbourne' show. It was great fun and some fantastic displays from various aircraft.

Had this one display where two girls were actually on top of a small airplane and waving to the visitors - apparently 800,000 people flocked to the coast this year. Other cool stuff was the Eurofighter, F16 - and my favourite, the RAF Red Arrows- and if you like antique vehicles, we had some of those too

Download here

It's a fairly large file - 54.3 MB, so only you broadband folks will manage this - but it's 6:50 long - hope you like it

I have taken the liberty of re-encoding that video file for you, and getting it down to 26 MB in size.

The video resolution & frame rate remains the same, but in order to play it you will need the DivX codec installed.
I have also mirrored it on a server that is not speed restricted, so those with a 2Mbit connection & faster don't have to wait 5 minutes for it to download (it will download in 20 seconds on a 10 Mbit connection).

If you do not already have the DivX codec installed, you can download it (and a few other codecs that are required these days) by clicking >HERE< (1.34 MB)

The Airshow video itself can be downloaded by clicking >HERE<

If this offends, please let me know and I will remove it.
If (on the other hand) you want a freebie "how to" in video encoding, give me a shout.

RuFFy & Gixxer, thanks to you both, wonderful stuff!

I remember seeing the Red Arrows many years ago when they used Folland Gnats, and I recognised lots of the maneuvers - magic!
What do they call that one like an upside-down "bomburst"?

Great production, excellent quality, highly entertaining 11/10

Wasn't it called the "Starburst"?

I take it you have been to the Red Arrows website, and downloaded the screensaver and wall paper?

No Earnest, I visited an air show and took this picture many, many years ago. I just couldn’t quite remember if it was the star burst or not :P .

If you go to their website, the various manouvres are described, and illustrated with little flash animations - well they were early this year!!

You can download lots of stuff about them, pictures and a hi-res screensaver! :)
