Well, I was driving through a quiet part of town today and a middle aged man who I thought should have known better or has forgot S.L.L. proceeded to walk right in front of me THEN look THEN jog a bit to avoid the car and angrily looked over his shoulder and said F***in' hell so I shouted out my window F***in' look before you cross. Many others have done this and I have had to stop in the road to let them cross, like there is an automatic priority to people who refuse to look when they cross the road.

I will obviously (And actively) stop and let slow/old/disabled across the road as many seem to be crossing where there is no crossing or it is too far away but I'm getting to the point where I am going to knock one of these buggars down..NO KIDDING.

Were you by some chance turning into a minor road? If so, and the man was walking across the mouth of the minor road in line with pavement of the road you were leaving, you were in the wrong. From the Highway Code rule 146
Quote:
watch out for pedestrians crossing a road into which you are turning. If they have started to cross they have priority, so give way

It's often difficult to navigate parts of Edinbrugh and Glasgow without pedestrians dodging in and out of parked cars and the like. I've been tempted to say something to the ones who seems to be deliberately slowing cars down as sport, but I worry that they'd do something to the car as I pass. Especially in evenings when people are likely to have been drinking.

You could always get a huge set of airhorns behind the grille, as a polite reminder that a car (or truck if you get the right horns) is approaching.

PS...Probably best not to actually do that :D .
