Did anyone see News Night monday? They were talking about how much our civil liberties were being eroded.

Had the young lady arrested for reading out the names of soldiers killed in Iraq and the usual govt numpty, would not answer why she had been arrested for an orderly unobtrusive protest, kept wittering on about hypothetical rowdies.

Missed that one, but I have noticed this type of thing happening more and more. Classic case being the animal rights extremists. You had a bunch of people doing stuff that was already illegal (vandalism, blackmail etc.) and they responded by banning peaceful protest. Another example was when they banned protest within 1km of parliament following the london bombings.
