If you are caught by a speed camera are you also prosecuted if the spacing of letters on your plate is illegal?

it is not the norm, unless the operator creates an incident for processing outside the remit of the SCP

Not cost-effective? Maybe they will change the rules so you get "commission" on any fines issued... :roll:

So that's a no then?

So the only way anybody gets pulled with an illegal plate is by BIB and I suppose most of the time it's not worth the bother because the cars are mostly going to be driven by legal people.

I have absolutely no objection to novelty plates that just happen to mean something but I do get annoyed by plates rearranged to spell a word. I have had difficulty sometimes actually working out what the number is.
