No, all that means is that it can't be all of it. How much coal do you think there is, relative to the total mass of all plants that have lived in the last 300 million years.


There could be a lot of 'pre coal', whatever that is.

I think you underestimate the amount of coal there actualy is. Like oil there is vastly more still in the ground somewhere than has been extracted so far.
