Perhaps it is now time for a minimum speed limit on certain types of vehicles on the motorway -EG CARS - how often have I said this whilst trying to get into L1 between J2 & 3 on the M6 heading north,to get off, and finding some old duffers chugging along at 45 -50 in L1,in convoy nose to tail
.But oh silly me ---first of all they're not exceeding the limit, so they're safe, then who's going to enforce it - the bunch of pseudo cops in 4x4 waddling along in L1 at the same speed - prime candidates for the same treatment :o

so this lorna jackson thinks its better to be 60 below the limit rather than 10 or 20 over? Is this belief all the time? Ie busy periods/quiet periods?
Also, her views (as ridiculous as they are) seem to tar us all with the same brush. That doesnt work. We are all at different skill levels so why should a professional driver or enthusiast be subject to the same criticism as an old duffer or an occasional driver?
And we let these people loose in public with minds like that :?
