Would I be correct in suggesting that the NF support or practice illegal activity, in the case persecution and removal of certain minorities, wheras the BNP are more about changing the law to make this kind of activity legal.

It's a subtle difference but it's an important one. If he were just supporting the BNP you'd need to find evidence of actual wrongdoing towards minorities before you could sack him, wheras by supporting the NF he's actually advocating / encouraging illegal activity.

That said I have no doubt that they'd still find a way to get rid of him, even if it were only the BNP. Everyone is so paranoid about racism these days, especially in the police, and I doubt many people believe the BNP to be anything other than a bunch of thugs once you get beneath the surface.
