Cycle on the hard shoulder of the M6 - definately a dangerous practice - like it would be on the M25 and parts of the M1- as the fastest thing moving on the motorway how long would it be before some irate motorist took it into their head to start a torrent of abuse or use the cyclist for target practice for moving faster than them( tongue very much in cheek statement for those who think im being serious about cycling rather than the constant traffic jams )
