We (the family) have had a few "colds" like that in the last few weeks. Something that starts out like a cold and you go to bed with a "Lemsip" (other cold remedies are available!) and then you wake up the next morning and it's gone.

Next time your whole family goes down, then see what happens when you give half of them the Lemsip and the other half a lemony placebo :D

Sorry, probably should have worded it better - they didn't all get it simultaneously, but over the last few weks, we've all had something similar, just sequentially rather than in unison!

Lots of people swear by Hot Toddies - personally I hate waiting to get the cold before you can start knocking them back! :drink2:
Ah, yes me too. :) Revealing a bit of your Scottish roots there perhaps Ernest ;)

Braun/Oral B electric toothbrushes. Vastly superior to manual brushing and as advertised.
Absolutely! It's the best advice I ever had and have two types; the Philips high-pitch vibrating type and Oral B rotating head type which I use one after the other. I only wish I had discovered them sooner, and had more teeth. :D

Watch out Mole - there is a lot of chesty coughs circulating down this end of the county - some schools have had lots of absences for the coughs, which turn into a cold a week later!
My kids stayed healthy until they started school - then they brought all sort of ills home!

I am a firm believer in Rum and Blackcurrant Ribena as a means of dealing with colds (for adults!). :wine:

The Ribena contains vitamin C to fight the cold, and the rum helps you forget or not care about the symptoms!

I'm a hot toddy man personally. Doesn't cure the cold, but puts me past caring that I've got one!

Interestingly, the start of the school year - with lots of kids getting exposed to each others' bugs tends to be a good time for family colds.

By the way, anyone seen this:

Cracks me up every time!
