Buses also run almost empty a lot of the time and have to run even if nobody wants to travel in order to offer a regular service. This is clearly not environmentally friendly.
Interestingly Malcolm, I was overtaking a German Coach on the Autobahn earlier this year listening to the Beeb Beeb Ceeb on old MW AM....
The radio didn't like it all!...............sounded like some kind of Electric Inverter drive to me (and I should know) meaning electric motors at the wheels......
