That's probably why the word "DOMESTIC" is used.

And ALL fluorescent tubes HAVE to be treated as hazardous waste and disposed of as same.

Oh, and don't breath in the dust if they break....you may become as mad as a hatter.

I think you are confusing neon tubes with fluorescent tubes. They are not the same.

Sorry, I am, I meant "I can't think of a workplace I've ever worked in that hasn't got a stack of broken fluorescent tubes in a cupboard somewhere."

I imagine somebody working in strip joint might say the former...
