I didn't want to be the first to say it, but I don't like this BBS either. I find it difficult to spot where one post ends end the next one begins, and the detail should be on the left, as it is with every other BBS I've seen.

As mentioned before, go to your user profile and change the style from "prosilver" to "subsilver2" - that looks much more like the old board and has the usernames on the left.

Version 3 offers a long list of advantages over Version 2, and is also less vulnerable to hackers, so it was always a matter of when rather than whether.

I use another board thats had this new version for a little while, it fades with time but I still find it more cluttered and less clear than the outgoing version.

The avatar thing is annoying as I quickly identify a poster via the avatar, so for purposes of continuity within a thread, it kinda makes sense the post begins with it as your eyes naturally lead there. now you have to move your eyeballs left and right again, which might sound tragic, but is weirdly unnatural. Sad I know but it's annoying as they've only done it for the sake of making it look different, kinda like when you go to the supermarket and they've re-organised, so you're wandering round like a confused mental case when all you want is your damn shopping and couldn't care less for the altered asthetics. Also the posters name should be more prominent, instead of hidden away in a load of clutter about the time, date, thread title etc etc.

Must say apart from being thrown slightly with the user/post info being on the right, which im sure i'll get used to (been away so only been using the new style for the last 20 mins) I must say I very much prefer the new look :)

Personally I find this board very hard to read
Is there a chance to add another board style,, preferably in arial font and about 2 fonts bigger?
It is my dyslexia and the charictures are very tightly squeezed.

Mummy! I said this ages ago! My eyeballs aren't what they were. Pleeeeese can the font be bigger? My crowsfeet have doubled in the last year squinting at SS :)

(Comes to something when mpaton2004 starts off a fair thread ;) )

You will be branded a threat to society by going over a speed limit where it is safe to do so, and suffer the consequences of your actions in a way criminals do not, more so than someone who is a real threat to our society.

After struggling with the prosilver version ,I tried subsilver - much like the old board ,but somehow much clearer and easier on the eye IMHO.

PHPBB 2 was broke. ;)

Let's have another cliche:

It's a fair cop, Ziltro; you've got me bang to rights.
