A Cow or a Car?

I've heard that a cow produces twice as much CO2 as the average car.

Any CO2 produced by a cow is 'new' CO2 in a short cycle. It comes from grass which got it from air.

That's fundamentally different from old CO2 from fossil fuel sources which has been locked underground for millions of years.
