Here's an idea - ban the school run and stop attacking drivers. ban this and who needs a congestion charge at peak?

C above - How exactly would you ban the school run?

Send your ideas to the council who've been trying to work this out. Every year they run "Walk tro School" week and it does not work long term.
Parents love the convenience of the car. They also think it's safer for their kids but ironically it they did not drive to the schools - less morning accidents would occur

I assume that the people who have admitted this about the school run either work part time or work from home and thus miss it. They haven't a clue about what we put up with in a morning. Now get it sorted

It's amazing that there'e a 10 % drop in traffic volume every holiday break. My 12 mile journey takes 70 minutes and less than half an hour when the kids are on holidays. Perhaps we need to re-think school starting and finishing times?
This will be much more effective and popular than stealth taxes - sorry congestion charges ..
Everyone knows their car uses less fuel and pumps our fewer fumes when travelling at sedate speeds Why are these facts "irelevant?"
