Those airlines who are making the passengers cough up before they board the plane are playing a masterstroke IMO.

It makes it look like exactly what it is. A desperate whip round to fill Gordon's empty coffers. BA should have done the same!!

This is third world stuff!

IMO, all bills should have the price of the goods stated without taxes and a separate line giving the taxes/duties paid making up the total. This constant reminder of the amount we pay to the Government would be very salutary (especially in the case of road fuel).
