Hi all,

story about the new SPECS being introduced in London conveniently in a 20MPH limit    , these cameras, I think, are going to do a lot more business than the gatso ever could   Check the poll results

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/arti ... 20Standard

Note these types of thing in the article:

The new cameras capture digital images without a flash and, because they use no film, can net thousands of vehicles a day.

BRILLIANT!!!! :?

But experts say that, if they are successful, they are bound to spread throughout the capital.

OH REALLY! WHAT A SHOCK

During the 18 months of roadworks, the LSCP will operate four pairs of digital cameras in the temporary 20mph zone with City of London police.

So the cameras will be removed when the temporary limit is removed?

A Transport for London spokesman said: "Research proves that a 1mph reduction in average speed results in a reduction of six per cent in the number of collisions."

Ie the fitting of a camera moves 6% of cars onto a different route.

No - nearer 10% - and the accident per motorist in the camera zone goes up.

6% for
94% against.

This obviously means that they will definately be put in, in huge numbers.
