All you wannabe

s out there
University of Central Lancashire and Lancashire Constabulary have got together and have planned a new degree course for wannabe
This is to be a two year course:
Foundation Degree in Policing.
This is the first of its kind and set to start in September.
It is intended for those who wish to become a uniformed

or work as civilian staff for the police.
It has been organised by this University's Department of Forensic and Investigative Science. The course has been introduced following the success of the Police and Criminal Investigation Degree course now in its sixth year.
Hmmm. horses for courses .. or how to be a Dick type in waiting
Love to know what BiB think about this.
By the way.. the forensic department gets some input from the local medical science labs and forensic accountancy specialists. Quite an involved course.
But does it fast track a police career? Or are officers who come up trained through the university of real life better equipped to deal with real criminals>
