from a truck drivers point of view and that is the 52 - 55 driver

as i am limited to 55, coming up behind a driver who is doing approx 52 and then accelerates to 55 for a while then slows again is painstakingly annoying. i catch them up but when i want to pass, i cant because they then speed up to my speed. i have come across this several times over the past few weeks. the only chance i have is a downhill slope where my weight can push me over the limiter but even then, they sometimes speed up too :x

On a busy-ish DC it only takes one of these to bring the whole road down to 56 mph as all the trucks have to overtake. W@nkers.

increasing speed while being overtaken in any situation is annoying through to downright dangerous & inconsiderate driving. Even when I intend to speed up I still let those committed to or just in the position of overtaking pass first, eg when reaching the top of a hill on a motorway and the speed starts to creep back up to your target.

In your case these people are fools, and it just speaks volumes of their lack of knowledge and care about driving, out of pure self-intrest alone one of the last places I want to be is "in the way" of a 44 tonner.
