Presumably by 2013 they hope to have "persuaded" Germany to put speed limits on its "bloodbath" autobahns. Otherwise it would surely be a human rights issue there, and as long as they're available there, the authorities will have to try pretty hard to stop people importing them if necessary.

I'd like to see figures that show how many crashes have been caused by vehicles travelling above 100mph. I don't ever recall reading or hearing about one where no other offence was being committed.

Just another half-baked kneejerk simplistic load of bollocks.

why not? I was in Wales and driving at well over 100mph the weekend before last and amazingly no kittens were killed as a result.

All this does is prove beyond reasonable doubt that none of you are interested in road safety, just the fact that you are no longer able to drive at eye-watering speeds on public roads due to the proliferation of safety cameras.

As has been said, we've done this before but as it's here, I think it's interesting to see how everyone seems to have assumed it's for safety reasons whereas, in fact, it's supposedly do do with environmental reasons.

Also as said before, it's utter bunkum because I bet the amount of CO2 emitted at present by cars doing over 100MPH on UK roads is already in the single numbers of tonnes. Until the right honourable member for Head-up-his-own-arseville can give me figures for the amount of CO2 that is (a) currently produced by vehicles exceeding the 'ton and (b) credible estimates of how much can be saved, I don't think his proposal is even worth reading.

What on earth makes you think I would even consider using a public road as my own little practice strip?

When you've finished with the assumptions, is there any chance of having your dealers name & address because that is obviously some good crack you are getting.

There is one in the next release - phpBB 3.0 - which is now available in beta format.
