Does anyone have photographic evidence of the fact that a Truvelo flash is visible to the human eye?

I need proof that they do flash in the visible spectrum to settle an argument.

Cheers!

Well you could take my word for it; they are littered around Portsmouth and I often see them go off. Failing that:

Magenta flash filter for front photography.

Magenta is as a normal camera flash but with the green removed.

The invisible flash 'myth' was probably started because the Truvelo Dcam uses in IR flash, but the Combi SMC (the one we all know and love) is the one approved for UK use (this having the magenta flash). However, new models are about to be released for UK use which do use IR flash.

There's a photo here:

The type approval certificate is here, note the condition at the bottom of the first page.

Also: FoI response.

If you do an images search for "truvelo" you might find some photos. You'll also see what else that company make.

I've seen photos around PePiPoo, so searching on there might also help if you want a real photo from one.
