Every parents' nightmare.. the child who slips the hand and vanishes.

But this one had a happy ending and I have to smile at the "maturity" of this little boy.

Safe at last
A three-year-old boy who went missing this afternoon from Blackburn market had jumped on a bus to Bolton.

Lee Loram has been found safe and well but he was last seen at 12.40pm while shopping with his mum and brother, sparking a massive police search.

A Lancashire Police helicopter flew over the town centre, while mounted police officers and police dogs were also involved in the search.

He was found at around 4.15pm by police officers.

The youngster had climbed onto a bus bound for Bolton.

He then stayed on board until the bus returned to Blackburn and was seen by officers as he jumped off.

Insp Stuart Bruce, Blackburn police said: "He has been found safe and well after enjoying a bit of a bus ride.

"We would like to say thank you to the many officers who were brought into assist the search, the town centre security staff, stall holders and the numerous members of the public who came forward to help."

I'll bet his Mama will trot out this tale to his first ever girlfriend. My Mum went through every prank I pulled as a lad :yikes: to each girl I took home.

(I did not really meet anyone I fell for until I met the :neko: )

Wildy just laughed over it all - and said she could match and better me though  I still beat her on cycling though  I was riding a two wheeler WITHOUT stablisers at just aged three

 Some wicked kiddy!

Seriously his parents will have been worried sick over this. But one of the lore in the Swiss family concerns Wildy' s older brother. He was "son number two" ! He did not want another "soppy girl" - so when Jessika (Wildy' s cousin ) was born a couple of months earlier, this lad then aged about 5 years and with a now two year old sister - Krissi - :rotfl: - escaped from his grandparents and made his way to "maternity" to "place his order for a little brother" :rotfl:

Meantime - the grandparents who were minding him whilst Wildy's parents were visiting a new born Jessika and her proud parents (and later Wildy's own parents) were beside themselves with worrry. Meantime Knut was being handed toffees and being made a fuss of by all the nurses in maternity who fell in love with this rogue. He later became a cardiologist - married to a midwife...

Me? I "helped the painters on the family home" by climbing up the ladder after them and "painting window sills" Then I saw my Dad pruning roses and decided that chopping the flowers was "helpful" My mum tells me that we had lots of flowers in every vase that year :boxedin: I was about three at the time

I also informed my neighbour that I did not want a baby sister, Unfortunately Angela (Angelika is her on-line posting handle somewhere :rotfl:) arrived. Each time my this neighbout appeared .. I arrived on my tricycle to protect Angela per my parents. They said it was uncanny - but that each time the neighbour appeared .. when Angela was outside in her pram.. I just rode up on my tricycle "as if to protect her

I do recall that trike. It was blue, BIG . and had a useful boot for "stuff" which only a 3 to 5 year oid lad from our era can fully understand here

Angela took it over later on. I moved on to some Raleigh two wheeler without stabilisers by then  She inherited my two wheeler when my parents bought me a "serious bike" when I passed cycling proficiency and made it into "grammar school"

We still have this old faithful trike .. we pass him around the famiy too.

A must for any three year old.

Yes .. I admit this child will have caused great worry here. But all is well that ends well and I think this child has "potential go get astuteness".

Not a waste of police time .. we do enjoy dealing with these positives after all. It's part of the rich tapestry of human life after all  And as Ted (MM) said . forms family history/anecdotes and a colourful takle to pass down the generations as "family lore"

I admit it could have been "tragedy" - but I think a very bright three year old with a character developing here. I would advise his parents to keep a close eye and reign in.. as this kid is one bright dude.

You have to "lean on them" gently to keep them straight. I speak from experience of fathering some very inedependently minded young "rebels"

Muy kids are nice. law abiding / but to use Wildy''s term// they can be "sassy" and question authority all the same - which makes them "normal" .. but makes me turn inot my own parents . :?
