56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing

Isn't that phenomenon called "the weather"?

Most climate change apologists (and, to be fair, a number of proponents) don't seem to understand the differance between weathe and climate.

This always makes me laugh, if the "weather" favours the environmentalists view it is classified as climate change. However if it does not it is referred to as the "weather".
If was 30 degrees and sunny in Moscow it would be climate change and not "weather".

Climate change, AKA global warming, is being used to enact social and economic change.
True, we cannot go as we are.
Unfortunately, the alternative requires massive depopulation to the level of population as was in [about] 1900.
Which is unrealisable, and would be too low to be sustainable.
Very few philosophers see Homo Sapiens lasting more than another few hundred years.
If a new ice age does appear [and the money is on that happening, no matter what the pro/anti lobby say] then Homo Sapiens is due to go into a rather fast decline.

"No matter if the science is all phony, there are collateral environmental benefits.... Climate change [provides] the greatest chance to bring about justice and equality in the world."

Christine Stewart, Minister of the Environment of Canada
