Hi, does anyone have a link to the official stats that show the causes of road traffic accidents? They include, IIRC, "did not look", "loss of control", "drink driving", and the ubiquitous "exceeding the speed limit".

The government's own websites are like trying to navigate the Norfolk Broads.

Thanks, I think I found what I was after.

Its a local forum where some people are arguing about the speed limit on a local road. I'm trying to emphasise the importance of driving to the conditions, and not rigidly adhering to a speed limit.

Speed kills.
Therefore:
No speed does not kill.
Therefore:
Lower speed kills less.

I wish you luck, but with the logic above think it unlikely.

56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing
